阿德莱德K. 桑德勒

Dr. 阿德莱德 桑德勒是一名教授, 研究员, and social worker with a background in community counseling and political social work. Her dissertation explored how recipients of means-tested government assistance make decisions related to voting. She is an active 研究员 with the Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work and a member of the National Social Work Voter Mobilization Task 为ce.

Dr. 桑德勒 previously taught at Westfield State University (WSU). She was the first and only full-time faculty member to teach and advise master-level social work students at their satellite campus in Worcester, 麻萨诸塞州. 在华盛顿州立大学, she was the faculty advisor of the Worcester campus MSW student organization and coordinator of Lead Advocacy Day at the state capitol. She has taught as an adjunct at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, St. Joseph University in Hartford, and Housatonic Community College. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, Dr. 桑德勒 worked for the Danbury Regional Child Advocacy Center and Newtown Youth Services.  She created and led support groups for first-time parents, grandparents raising their grandchildren, and school-age brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. In addition to her work for non-profit organizations, 她曾在政界工作过, including working in the constituent services department of a United States Congressional District 办公室, being active in many state and local campaigns, serving as a member of her local town committee, and serving on the Newtown Board of Ethics. She currently serves on the Board of Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights.
